Maybe Someday We'll Get It Right

August 20, 2015

Ever since my parents trusted me buying clothes with my own money I have been known for hoarding up a massive scarf collection. It got so out of hand that my parents eventually told me I was forbidden to walk into the house with a new scarf. So you can imagine how difficult it was to have to put down every "perfect" scarf that I came across until the day that my parents felt my mind was mature enough to not "mindlessly" buy every single thing that I felt was a necessity in my closet.

However that did not stop my huge obsession with scarves years later. In fact, even through the scoring heats of Texas summer weather, scarves have remained one of my favorite go-to accessory.

Does my Dad still make comments about my scarf obsession? Yes. To this day, he still calls me crazy for wrapping my neck with a scarf in the heaty heat. And what would be my response to him? I'm just providing my neck with some friendly shade to protect it from the danger (the heat).

Wild Eyes

July 31, 2015

For the past couple of days I have actually been in Texas on a small family road trip vacation (wow, that actually sounded a lot wordier for me to describe than what it sounded in my mind ha) for about a week. And yes I know, I am pretty guilty for slacking on updating you guys about what's up with my life on my social media platforms but I usually am too exhausted to whip out my computer on vacation after running around with my camera 24/7. Literally. Being a photographer, videographer, and having to "supposedly" model for another camera can get kind of crazy sometimes. But hey, tell you what. I'll make sure that the video diary for this trip will be well worth it. Shake on that.

So, here's the first of who knows how many there may be to come outfits and little nature scenery of good o' big Texas you guys.

Race Against the Sunset

July 22, 2015

Bored? Wanna play a little game? How about on a count of 3 we both spout out the first word that comes to our minds regarding a subject? Sound fun? Coolios! Ready?...1...2...3! FRUITS! Did we guess right? ha! Pretty dry game I know, but hey, it's better than dosing off into the nothingness all day long, though I won't criminalize you for that because, quite frankly, I'm pretty sure everyone's been guilty of that at some point over the duration of the summer time season.

East of Eden

July 10, 2015

In recent years, it has become a frequent habit of mines to go scavenging in the back of my parents' closet for gold. And no, not literal gold because that would make me of equal status to being an heiress of the Lannister family from Game of Thrones. But gold like authentic Lanvin bags being that they are authentic 80s and 90s clothes that my parents and the kid version of myself use to sport back in the retro days. Shopping without the hassle of getting in my car and spending a dime? What girl doesn't like that? Not to mention the best part being whenever I would walk outside the house with my new find goods, my parents would comment on how familiar some of my garments look, bringing back the good old times.

Back to the Ordinary

February 22, 2015

When this winter season first began, I honestly started thinking that perhaps it wouldn't be all too shabby y'know. Christmas and New Year's weather went ideal and in all honesty, the weather was quite consistent too! However, all that gradually started to change as a couple of weeks ago, we got hit by our first winter storm. Then just a couple of days later, we got hit with another one. And then another one. And welps, I guess we're just back our ordinary-crazy-bipolar weather here in Jersey.

No Easy Way Out

January 19, 2015

As you guys can see, or will see (depending on however big your monitor size may be or your zoom setting, my hair color is different! Now before you guys go on and compliment me on the supposed new do (aww shucks you guys don't have to), I have breaking news. Unfortunately, the change in hair color did not happen overnight; in fact, it is actually evident of how expired this outfit/lookbook post is ha. Rewinding all the way back to when I first decided to cut straight bangs, which was all the way back in mid October. And all the way back to when I first started realizing how beautiful of a color olive green is; my new go to autumn/winter color!

Stray Kids

January 12, 2015

I say "stray kids" not because I know I may have strayed from blogging over the course of twenty-fourteen but because me and my sisters just recently strayed away from home the past week on a little sisterhood outing for a bit before my winter recess comes to an ending. Truth be told, I feel like the little kid who cries wolf after repeatedly telling you guys that I have finally returned from a far, far away land to fulfill my duties of responsibly maintaining my blog after venturing out to save my knight and shining armored prince charming (not that the little kid who cried wolf belonged to a princess fairy tale or anything). Then again perhaps what I'm saying can prove to be quite a telling tale due to the fact that we just recently got hit by winter storm Frona and here I am wearing sunglasses and nothing but a button down, tank, and some good pair of denim jeans. That, or perhaps I'm just simply a mad woman.

We're All Waiting At A Terminal

October 7, 2014

I sincerely apologize for the long play of hide-and-go-seek regarding my hiatus for the past few months, but don't fret folks, I can assure you that all is well. Though I will confess, I've been trying to grow out my brows for the past months so my time away has given them some time to get out of that "awkward" phase.

And no, I don't always play dress up like this on a daily basis so this will most likely be the phanciest you'll see me, unfortunately. So why am I dressed up you ask? In celebration of my little bro's confirmation this past weekend with me being his sponsor hoho. In short, I basically spent the whole weekend celebrating his confirmation over quite a lovely and on point autumn weekend. As to what I've been doing the past couple of weeks, months . . . bit of classwork, independent study, catching up with miscellaneous games and shows, being an active member of Yelp . . .yeah. So toodles folks! Stay good and stay in school!

All The Conversations Missing Their Link

July 28, 2014

A little notice for any of you guys who ever plan on visiting Texas during your summer vacations, load your suitcase(s) with dresses. You'd be darn outright crazy walking out in this desert weather with any layers. Trust me on this. I've been spending the last couple of summers lavished in New Jersey's perfect summer weather climate thanks to the shore's refreshing breeze that I ended up packing quite a number of layering pieces that way I can easily change up my looks without it looking like I'm constantly repeating my outfits but man it is just way too hot to go through all the fuss of finding various ways to change up my outfits. Save yourself the trouble and just load up on some simple accessories to change up your looks instead. Oh and don't forget the sunnies! Can't forget them~

How To Forget? We Can't Forget

July 23, 2014

So a little while back, me and my sister were strolling around Vintage Park Blvd. around the Houston area and just happened to stumble upon this beautiful alley and without hesitation I just knew I had to get some quick outfit shots in for you guys! Simple and casual I know, but hey I was never into the phancy-dolling-myself up thing just to go out and have a blast with friends. Guess it's that young tomboy-ish self of mines since I was young that I can't ever forget.

Got My Melody, Got My Beat

March 23, 2014

After seeing snow and the temperature going below 30-20F for the longest time now, I simply could not resist whipping out my shorts when I saw that the weather was going to be sunny and in the 60s range! And although the weather says that we're suppose to be expecting more snow this coming week, at least I know that spring weather is almost here (even though it's technically already spring heh)!

The Low Sky Grieves With A Face That's About To Cry

March 18, 2014

Dude! How many of you guys are stoked for spring to finally arrive! I literally counting down the days cause quite frankly, I've had more than enough snow over the course of this winter season. Don't get me wrong though, the snow is absolutely gorgeous! it's just that I often times end up being locked inside my house cause neither me nor my parents trust me driving out on the icy roads. Although I wouldn't blame you guys if you guys started having thoughts that I had some accident on the roads of some sort due to the ga-jillions of winter storms that the New England coast has been hit with since I haven't updated my blog in the longest time. Life has been hectic these past weeks, so I do apologize for the lack of posts. Likewise, I guarantee you guys that I will make it up once spring blooms in the air! Also, I've been working on a new layout for my blog so be sure to stay tuned for that hehe!

**Update: What do you guys think of the blog's new look?

Delorean

January 14, 2014

How many of you guys have been keeping up to date with your list of 2014 new year's resolutions? Don't be embarrassed cause I'll admit, I've already broken 1 of mines unfortunately but hey, there's no way that's going to stop me from pushing myself to successfully achieve the rest of my goals for this year. Naturally, one of my top priority goal is to get more in shape and stay fit! Truth be told guys, I struggle opening up a jar of pickles (the ultimate arm muscle test according to the cartoon series Chowder) which is evident of my body encompassing absolutely no muscle at all! Moreover, there's no better motivator to work out then to feel fab! in whatever workout attire you're wearing! The ultimate go-to color combo, black, gray, and white with a touch of neon yellow to add a bit of excitement!

May Our Hearts Be Full Like Our Drinks Tonight

January 1, 2014

Happy New Year Kiddos!! Hope 2014 kick-started fabulously and memorable for all of you! To be honest, I was 1/2 dead & 1/2 alive last night because it was unbearably cold and I was snuggled in my warm blanket which makes for the perfect sleeping occasion; but don't fret, I managed to stay alive to -clink- our fancy glass cups of kid version of champagne (sparkling cider) with siblings and friends! And o.m.g. once Capital Cities came on to perform their hit track Safe and Sound I was like the awakened monster from Frankenstein ha! Started the year drinking fancy and classy with my champagne glass cup filled with sparkling cider and continuing that trend by starting the year out dressing classy with my first outfit of 2014!
